A lead is one unique company added to your pipeline — whether discovered via search, bulk-imported, or manually added. Re-running outreach or contact-lookup on an existing lead doesn't count again.
On paid plans, if you go over your tier's included leads, additional leads bill at the overage rate ($0.50 / $0.50 / $0.45 per lead by tier). Every paid plan has a soft-cap by default that pauses your service before the bill gets surprising — you can raise or remove it in Settings. The Free plan has no overage; it simply caps at 10 leads/month.
